"So you work when you're not working?"

"You can put it like that, but it is refreshing."

To him, sure. But to her, she'd rather use every second she wasn't at the hospital catching up on some sleep, or rather doing some laundry or spending time with Kimberly.

"Is there anything else you want to know?"

"Yes."

"I'm all ears."

She hesitated. Caroline wasn't sure if she should ask this, but the curiousity was quickly rising like a sandstorm.

She set down her eating utensils, took a gulp of water and cleared her throat. "I know you'd prefer I do not ask, but I'm curious and I hope you don't mind."

"I'll try not to," he said, taking a guess on what her question would be. He kept his eyes patient and waiting.

Caroline straightened herself as she kept her gaze fixed on him. "Why do you want to get married this way?"

"This way?" Cillian asked with a raised brow.
