Dinner is Served

Xu Feng carefully tucked the two babies more comfortably in their bassinets, making sure they were warm, comfortable, and had access to their soft toys before straightening up. His fingers lingered for a moment, brushing against the soft fabric of the silly looking cloth elephant.

Then, without a word, he turned to Xu Zeng.

His brother, already aware of what was coming, let out a small, almost exasperated sigh but reached out to pick up one of the other cloth toys the babies had been playing with earlier—this one was a not so ferocious tiger. Cute, not ferocious at all.

"You're leaving them with me?" Xu Zeng asked calmly, but there was a bit of excitement in the undertones of his voice. Clearly, he loved children, a lot, but couldn't quite admit it aloud.

Xu Feng only nodded. "I need to check on dinner."
