Recruitment

In one of the most terrifying moments, from the beginning.

Now, came peace throughout the years inside the Heatherlands.

Outside was a lot worse.

Things changed a lot, in fact—the prince's popularity and respect were very ideal. Well, except for some.

Xavier was quite distrustful of the two boys, although some amends were made with Peter.

But, his revenge was still fresh between Micah.

Otherwise, Peter finally found out the red-haired girl's name.

It was Vienne, which didn't surprise him that much due to the looks fitting that exact name. Micah continued to train with Asiris, in which he had some struggles.

But now, Asiris was confident in him—watching him improve on his fast thinking and steps.

Micah also found his style of fighting: the wind stance.

He was quite a fast person, so he could easily duck and roll while also whipping into the waist as taught by none other than Asiris.

Asiris also found some challenge in the man, but perhaps it was because he was easy on him at first.

But, there were a few problems in that case. Micah had a power—a very strong power that hadn't been identified.

Only, the Heather Eye could show him the full power.

Therefore, that was what it was all about—he needed to defeat the Ikes from conquering the Earth—but he doesn't know his power yet.

The only ones that know the way have already died, and none have been found.

So, it was only luck and precision that could help them on this mission.

This all came into thought after the three years had passed.

Peter was now a pro at his own stance in which he calls it: the face stance.

He mostly knocks them in the head, including small punches and kicks that sweep them under their feet.

Caville was very fond of him, and was hoping that he'd be qualified. You see, the qualification was meant for the test—when they find teams that are made by the students themselves, with the two teachers(Asiris and Caville), and there are robot-programmed enemies that have to fight.

They have to reach a certain position to defeat the captain, and if they do—they are put into qualification and get scored.

Whoever has the highest is hired for the mission.

But, one thing though is the danger. Excitement can be lost quickly if the danger they're in is unbearable.

In fact, most people didn't want to join.

Most.

But some wanted to take the glory, have a chance to be recognized in fame.

Including Xavier and Vienne, which they were the only signed.

But, they needed two more people in that case—in which they had no others that wanted to join.

The princes could go, or they could stay in the castle and wait for the Eye.

It all really depends.

But the desperation was too much for the two, for they wanted to find that opportunity.

Xavier was hesitant, but Vienne wasted no time to reach the castle.

They gave the first knock, which reverberated throughout the castle.

Peter and Micah were just talking like certain brothers as usual.

But, with a certain shock the door banged open with the butler, whose name was Perun appearing himself at the door.

He had a very faint beard, with a long bald head which blinded Micah every single time.

"Hello, majesty," he said, bowing in respect. "Someone wants to talk to you."

"Who?" Micah whispered curiously, to which Peter responded with a scoff.

"It's probably those people asking us to be in that dumb test."

Micah was now nineteen, in which Peter was eighteen, so they both would be eligible for the throne. But, that was the least of the kingdom's worries.

Not yet.

Grudgingly, they made their way to the closet, grabbing their cloaks and robes, which they quickly put on expecting to return to the room as quickly as they went to the door.

The butler stayed behind them closely, having a very watchful eye, although nothing has happened the past few years except some battles miles from here. No one actually ever touched the kingdom.

The princes quickly made their way down, through the stairs, then the hall of very considerable length, and then down to the doors.

Guards stayed side by side of the carpet, as the princes opened the door to see some familiar but unexpected faces.

"Xavier, Vienne?" Peter said under his breath surprised. Micah was quite the opposite.

"What are you doing here?"

"We have a certain request," Xavier said, trying to not sound as begging as possible.

In response, Micah clutched the handle and closed the door before he was stopped by Peter. This—you can guess—has been going on for some time.

"Please, listen to them," Peter said. Micah was very resistant but in the end he listened to their request.

"Um, we need some teammates to help us on the test," Vienne pleaded.

At that point, it seemed as Peter switched to the same mindset as Micah, closing the door until Xavier stopped the momentum.

"Please, don't you want to fight for your kingdom which you may rule one day?" Xavier challenged.

Micah was quite aware of what he was trying to do, but it still hit him in a certain way.

He started thinking about it, having thoughts that could be true to many possibilities.

What if he was the way to success?

What if without him, they fail and Ikes takes control of the world?

And it was all going to be on him. He would be in exile, alone and in danger like when he first got to the real world.

It hurt to think about it, which those thoughts gave this particular force to accept.

He turned his head fast to go through the pain of saying "I accept."

Luckily, it went by so fast, he found himself confused when they were cheering. "Meet us at the playground and we can discuss things!" Then, without further ado—they sped away from the stairs, confusing the two princes.

Micah was confused about what happened due to his very fast response.

Peter was dumbfounded that Micah said yes in the first place.

"Why did you say yes?"

"Because I believed it wasn't fair."

"Fair of what?"

"Why should others fight to give me something that I should earn—to fight for?"

"Because you're a prince, what else do you think?"

"It's best that we help them on the journey."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I am, very sure."

Peter was still in disbelief, but he had a bit more acceptance this time.

He left to return to the castle, which shortly Micah followed right after.

As they returned to their extent, Micah was just thinking about the outcomes, whether it was worth it or not. He couldn't find an answer because both were quite equal. This could mean that he could have a risk of dying in battle, or use it in the first case to win the war right there and then.

It was quite worrying in that case, so he tried to bury those thoughts, as he entered the room with Peter.
