Confrontation

"I'm not going to die. General Firoh doesn't even strike me as the type who wants to kill me. He appears to be rather intrigued by me," Peter reassured with a trace of confidence in his voice. The woman he spoke to, however, scoffed dismissively, clearly less optimistic about their predicament.

"Figures…" she muttered, her cynicism evident.

Peter turned his head to study her, and she met his gaze with an unwavering stare. "Do you want to kill him?" she asked bluntly, her tone devoid of hesitation.

Peter hesitated for a moment, contemplating the question. The very idea of wanting someone's death felt barbaric, and yet, an unsettling truth lingered within him – a desire for retribution, for justice. He was reluctant to admit it, even to himself.
