Escapee

"Oh how the mighty have---"

"Don't even think about it," the other guard commanded. "That's not how the Ikes do things."Mackerel was starting to wonder which was worse, the dungeon or their arguments, and the surprising part was how close it was. He took a quick look at both of them, decked out in top-of-the-line and sturdy armor.

He took a quick look at the area around him.

It was a simple hallway with a couple of twists and turns. There's not a lot to work with besides walls. After that, he glanced down at his hands. They had their moments, not entirely helpful, but not entirely pointless either. From the look of the guards' armor, they seemed tough, but Mackerel could sense they were not very smart. He needed to seize the perfect opportunity before it vanished once they left the castle.

Another intersection was approaching, and Mackerel leaned in, making sure no one was around.
