_Let me think straight, if Finn is from the 2000s and he is a year older, therefore in my time now, he is twenty-three plus thirteen, that's... thirty-six, my dad's age._
Lily sat in her room at the prestigious Magic School, surrounded by countless grimoires and manhwa. Her brows furrowed in frustration as she flipped through page after page, desperately searching for answers to her failure at Map class. She couldn't understand why she was summoned, but didn't have a place to protect.
As she delved deeper into the texts, she could feel an eerie presence lingering around her. The room became suffused with an uncanny stillness, broken only by the sound of bones cracking in the distance. Lily's heart raced as she spun around, searching for the source of the chilling noise. But, just as quickly as it began, the bone-chilling sound ceased, leaving Lily trembling with unease.
"Who's here! I may look innocent but I'm deathly."
Just as she began to calm her racing heart, a sudden, bone-chilling grip clamped down on her foot, yanking her forcefully from her bed. A terrifying scream escaped Lily's lips, but to her horror, she couldn't even hear her own voice. She thrashed and flailed, desperately attempting to free herself from the unknown entity's grasp. Helplessly, she was dragged through the halls of the school, her body careening into furniture and doors in her frantic struggle.
Finally, the relentless dragging came to an abrupt halt. Lily found herself standing before a towering gate, the word "Hell" etched upon it in horrifyingly intricate detail. The gate loomed before her, a testament to the darkness and despair that awaited within. Trembles of fear wracked her body as she stood before such a malevolently imposing structure.
With a creaking groan, the gates slowly swung open, revealing a horde of menacing undead creatures advancing towards her.
"What the, is this another dream? p-pl-please body wa-ke up now, i-i-i want to lea-leave this place."
Lily had such dreams often, but this one was extra frightening.
Lily's blood ran cold as she trembled before their relentless march. Before they could come within ten feet of her, however, Lily wrenched herself awake, her body tangled in her bedsheets. Cold sweat soaked her trembling form as she desperately tried to catch her breath, her mind reeling from the vividness of the ordeal.
She gazed upon her feet, surprised to find the unmistakable imprint of claws etched into her flesh. The evidence of the nightmarish encounter left her questioning her own sanity. A chill slithered down her spine, and she knew she had to shake off the lingering fear that clung to her like a shadow. Driven by an overwhelming need to cleanse herself, Lily hastily prepared a bath, hoping the water would wash away the lingering horror.
As the hot water cascaded over her, Lily closed her eyes and submerged herself, attempting to drown out the memories of the unsettling dream. But just as the steamy tendrils of the bath began to soothe her, she heard a voice echoing in her mind. The voice, low and ominous, whispered dark secrets and unsettling truths.
"Why, dear Master, do you think you failed?" the voice seeped into her thoughts, dripping with malevolence.
Lily's eyes shot open, her heart pounding against her chest. "Who... Who are you?" she stammered, her voice tinged with both fear and curiosity.
The voice chuckled, sending shivers up her spine. "So you have forgotten my voice so soon? Master."
Lily's mind raced, trying to make sense of the haunting presence within her thoughts. "Why did you drag me to that gate? Why show me Hell?" she asked, her voice trembling but determined.
The voice grew more sinister, its tone filled with a twisted delight. "Ah, dear Master, do you not see? You have a darkness within you. A darkness that yearns to be explored, to be understood, no one in this world understand your grieve for power, you see the army at the gate and my powers, it's all yours, eternity."
Lily's heart sank, the weight of the voice's words pressing upon her. "But I don't want darkness... I want to find my way, to become a skilled hero merchant. I want to help others, not succumb to some inner darkness."
The voice laughed, a cold and hollow sound that reverberated in her mind. "Ah, my dear, you underestimate the power that lies dormant within you. We summoned you, not the humans."
Lily's fists clenched, determination fueling her voice. "I won't let you consume me. I will find my path, my light."
The voice grew distant, its presence fading from her thoughts. "I'm your Amulet, unless you get rid of me, you won't have peace, you dream of being a wealthy merchant or cook, those fairies you thought them how to cook, those you consider your friends will turn their backs on you."
With the voice's departure, Lily was left alone in the stillness of the bath, her heart heavy with the weight of the encounter. As she stepped out, the claw marks on her feet served as a reminder of the darkness that threatened to consume her.
_Why must strange things happen to me, I just want to have a business of my own and make money, by the way, the fairies are very kind, they can't turn their back on me._
The next day...
