Suspect

The early morning sunlight filtered through the grand stained glass windows of the magic school, casting an array of dazzling colors on the marble floors. Students bustled through the corridors, their excited whispers filling the air. That day, a rumor had spread throughout the halls like wildfire, igniting a mix of curiosity and trepidation within their hearts. It was said that someone had successfully summoned the protector of the deaths.

Finn found himself being pulled into the chaos along with the other students. The news of the summoning piqued his interest, but he couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that something was amiss. Standing by the lockers, he caught sight of Mathew, a fellow student known for being rather obnoxious.

"You hear the news, Finn? Someone summoned the protector of the deaths," Mathew's tone was filled with a mixture of fear and fascination. Finn couldn't help but roll his eyes at this exaggerated reaction.

"Of course I heard, Mathew. We all did. But let's not jump to conclusions without proper evidence," Finn replied, trying to quell the unease bubbling within him.

"Think about it, Finn. If it's true, that means someone here is powerful enough to control such a land," Mathew retorted, his eyes gleaming with a morbid curiosity.

Finn cast a wary glance around the bustling hallway, wondering who among them would possess such unnerving magic. Biting his lower lip in thought, Finn felt a sudden urge to find the truth.

As the students were ushered into the spacious transformation classroom, Finn and Mathew found themselves side by side, awaiting their turn.

Today was another special class for Lily, yesterday they had to choose a territory, and today, they would have to face their true self, she read in the old books that, from the way she looks, she may know the territory she has to protect.

She didn't get much sleep, but she looked fine.

This week wasn't kind to her at all, all heroes had to know their positions this week, then next week, they will learn how to defend themselves and create wonderful portions.

The room hummed with anticipation as Finn's turn neared. He watched as Mathew stood before the mirror, his features slowly morphing into that of a griffle-like human. The transformation was both wondrous and grotesque, reminding Finn of the power that lay dormant within each of them.

Then came Merlin's turn, his reflection morphed into a dragon like feature.

Then came Lily's turn, and Finn's heart skipped a beat. He had suspected that she may be linked to the summoning,

even if Lily was his friend, she was the only person in school who didn't have a territory, of course, even a fool will know that, the map of the underworld doesn't exist and his suspicions were confirmed when Lily peered into the mirror. A gasp escaped Finn's lips as he beheld a striking creature that resembled a seductive bat-human hybrid. Lily was the summoned devilish creature, the protector of the deaths.

Apart from Finn, no one had noticed her transformation, since everyone's attention was swept by a swarm of bee's outside or maybe bats, who knows? no one had time to see them.

Immediately, Lily moved away from the mirror.

"So their Lily proceed." professor Phina said.

Evidently, Lily had heard the rumors too, and her fair was proven true, she was the beast.

But Finn knew he couldn't rely solely on the mirror's revelation. Solid evidence was necessary to prove Lily's involvement. Lily was too kind and pure looking to be a devil.

He exchanged a knowing glance with Mathew, and Mathew understood, the person who had just stood in front the mirror frightened Finn.

Mathew approached Finn to inquire what had frightened him so much.

"It can't be Lily, no."

He murmured, but loud enough for Mathew to hear.

"We have to report this case quickly."

"No no, it's not proven" Finn tried to tell Mathew, but he was too proud of his finding.

Mathew ventured through the winding halls of the magic school, his footsteps echoing against the stone walls. It was a maze of learning.

Finn followed him closely behind.

The buildings stood tall, each one depicting a unique architectural style. Towering spires pierced the skies, their roofs adorned with intricate designs that seemed to dance in the sunlight. Stone gargoyles perched on every corner, their watchful eyes adding an air of mystique to the surroundings.

Amidst the flutter of robes and voices, students huddled together in animated conversations, discussing the recent rumor. Their faces bore expressions of both fear and excitement, their words filling the air like whispers on the wind.

As Finn and Mathew approached the library, they spotted Professor Evergreen, the principal. His wrinkled face crinkled into a smile as he saw them approaching.

"Ah, Finn and Mathew. What brings you here today?" Professor Evergreen inquired, his voice filled with warmth.

"We seek your guidance, Professor. It has come to our attention that someone within the magic School is the protector of the deaths," Mathew explained, his voice steady despite the unsettling nature of their discovery.

The professor's gaze hardened, his silver eyes narrowing as he absorbed Mathew's words. "I had feared this day would come. The summoning of such a powerful entity. We have to get rid of the suspect, who is it?"
