"Rose, are you okay?" Kine said, walking up to me.

I sighed. "Things did not go as I had hoped. Thanks for having brought me here. We can go now."

"If it's a debt you owe, I can help."

"It's too much money." I lowered my head. "You have to make a living too. On your wage, it would take up what you earn in a year. And that's when added to what I have saved."

He sighed and stared at the door. "In that case, maybe I can talk to her."

I shook my head and looked into his eyes. "Please don't. I'll figure a way out of this. I've troubled you enough."
