Princess Rosemary is a wilted flower in her father’s court. Born into a society that puts power on a pedestal, her frail body and faltering angelic powers earn only scorn from the nobles and icy contempt from her father. Suffocated by whispers and rejection, Rose’s gentle spirit breaks, driving her to do the unimaginable. But as she does so, memories of her brother's kindness renew her will to live. Yet, it might already be too late as she's dragged under the raging river. As all hope seems lost, a pair of cold eyes peer back at her. Would their owner bring the salvation she so desperately craves, or a continuation of the emotional torment she has endured since she was a child?
Rose's her upbringing clearly took a number on her confidence and self-esteem. Her father is one of the worst I have read about. It is nice that her brother and his fiance are in her corner. Overall ,I have enjoyed this story.

This story is wholesome, easy to follow the plot, characters are loveable and the villian's are ready for the rubbish bin and have good backstories, the world setting is interesting. With different realms and their issues. If you have issues with names the audio easily helps you with that. Unique challenges as well for characters along with the usual relatable ones.

One thing this book can not be accused of is being overly simplified. Rose and the others certainly didn't get to leisurely scroll through life. There are many characters so I'm sure you'll find someone to like. enjoyable read.
Taste tested through the 19 free chapters. A fantasy romance with magic and modern touches. Rosemary's upbringing is truly tragic and Saffron had to mature quickly for his family. I hope the two can grow closer on a deeper level and not just on the surface. I look forward to the rest of the story. The mixing of Japanese and non-Japanese names confused me sometimes (This isn't a problem. It's an issue with me because I like listening to the story).

This is my first time reading a story that uses a lot of first person perspective. Enjoyable and easy to read.
The contrast between this story and Novus Magus is interesting. Two very different stories from what I can tell. Whilst I haven't read all of this story, I think it has potential from what I've read thus far but it feels like it's missing something. What that is, I have no idea. Still, a good read, your imagery is great and the first-person storytelling makes it more personal. I like it.
A good book cant wait to check what's up with Rose in the next chapter.
This story originally began as a little extra to another one of my works (one I published over on WP). When I saw there was a competition about engaged marriage on here, I decided to expand that story I'd come up with into what it is now. While I didn't win said competition, I did get an offer to be contracted. Thanks all of you who have read it. I will continue to work to improve this story for your enjoyment. It's a story as full of action and fantasy as much at it is romance. So hopefully, there's something for readers to like about it ^^
Rose's struggle with her family really hit me where it hurts. I'm glad that she still has a few people whom she can rely on. I honestly think that its better to have a few, true and loyal loved ones than to have an entire world that falsely adores you. Especially for someone who is genuinely scarred like Rose. I also like the background behind the kingdom's creation as well as the various abilities that some of the characters have. I'm a bit confused about the setting though, because there was mention of cars and phones, yet I had previously thought that the world was somewhat set in the Middle Ages. Or is it set in the beginning of the Modern Era?(say, maybe, something like the 1870s?) Otherwise, this honestly interested me.
I'll be real, I couldnt hack the writing style. Its a bit too Woe Is Me and was a chore to read. With some polish it has promise. Building out the surroundings to portray a feeling instead of internal dialogue can engage readers a lot more. Keep going
Think everyone who loves both romance and fantasy action should read this book.
