I stood up from my seat. Someone had rung my doorbell. Could that have been Kaze and Kiki? Last night, I had called them to let them know that I couldn't make it to the palace, to instead come over.

I opened the door and saw a beaming Sil. He had on a red backpack. "I'm here!" he said, stepping in and looking around the living room. "Is Kiki here yet?"

I snickered. "Not yet." I walked over to the couch and sat down. I had to figure out something fun to do for us while waiting.

Sil sat down next to me. "Hope she comes soon."

I patted his head. "You really like her, do you not?"

His cheeks grew rosy. "It's not like that!"

I chuckled. "I did not mean it like that."

Sil rubbed his eyes. "Oh. Sorry, it's just, when you asked, my mind jumped to something else."

"Is something wrong, little one?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
