After making it back home, we both started to cut things up for today's meal. I found myself watching him more than actually working, admiring the way his muscles flexed with each movement.

He caught me staring. "What's wrong, Rose?"

My cheeks warmed up. "N-nothing. You just seem really focused on your cooking."

He glanced down. "Well, yeah. I have to make sure it tastes good." He walked over an smirked slightly. "You on the other hand seem a bit distracted."

Steam would've come out of my ears if this were a cartoon.

He patted my head and put a carrot into my mouth. "It's okay. Just eat the food and stay safe. You have a lot on your mind. Don't worry, I'm not upset."

I swallowed. "Right. Sorry. Again."

Saffron put another carrot into my mouth.

I felt like complaining, but instead I just ate the carrot and sighed.
