Chapter 89: Tea

I knelt down and picked up a black rock. It didn't appear to be that color because of trace minerals like most black rocks. Nor was it a volcanic rock, but sandstone. The surface was more oily than anything. Although, I did not detect oil underground. Could it have been from a different place. Or was this oily goo from that dragon-like creature?

"Found something, Captain Saffron?" Jiro asked, running over.

I raised the rock. "Could you ran some lab tests on this?"

Jiro took it from me and nodded. "Of course." She took to the air and flew toward the campsite which wasn't too far from where we stood.

Uneri sighed as he scanned the area. He still hadn't recovered completely, though.

"No dice?" I asked.

He shook his head. "Nothing. What about you?"

"I just found a rock with a strange substance. Jiro went to take it to analyze. How are you feeling?"
