"Okay," I said as I continued to snuggle my little girl.

"Yeah!" Yukira said, smiling. "Let's go to playpen!" She pointed to a spot in a corner of the room.

I put my daughter down and watched as she chased after her brother.

She nodded slightly. "N-new place."

I picked her up and patted her head. "There's no need to be afraid, Abby. You're safe here."

Koyuki's mom chuckled. "Koyu wasn't lying when she said you turned out to be a good dad."

She got closer and waved. "So, you're Yuki's daughter, huh?"

Abby pressed her head against my chest.

"Sorry, she is a little shy around strangers."

"I see. Maybe she'll take to Yuki if you let them play together."
