I watched as Rohan and Jiro, now backed up by the latter guardian angel, fought the trio of tanuki. The latter ambushed us from underground, but Jiro's guardian angel managed to emerge from her angel tool on his own to defend us.

All six of them moved rapidly. Normally, I would've been able to see them, but with all the sand and dust flying around the hall, it was harder to make out.

I winced as pain flared up my side, a sharp reminder of the wound I had sustained earlier. I could feel the warm trickle of blood seeping through my clothing. I needed to address it before it got worse.

Channeling prana into my hand, I poured some over my wound. I could feel the warm, healing energy seeping into my skin, knitting the torn flesh back together. It was a slow process, but effective. My magic abilities weren't as good as my mother's.
