I sighed as I slashed the air. I'd failed to defeat Father the other day. Guess he wasn't as rusty as I had expected. No matter, I just had to keep at it.

"You sure are hard at work today. How about you take a nice break and join me for a picnic?" a sing-song voice called out.

I turned to my right and smiled at my girlfriend. "Hey, Artie."

She gave me a teasing giggle. "So, plan to join me or not?"

I chuckled at her playful tone and sheathed my sword. "A picnic with you sounds like a wonderful idea. Let's go."

Artie beamed at my response, taking my hand as we made our way to the garden, where she set up the picnic. The sun was shining brightly, the birds were chirping, and everything felt peaceful.

We settled down on the blanket and began to unpack the delicious food she had prepared. I began to salivate looking at the delicious food.
