Chapter 148: Another Call

Koga left me in the kitchen to go rummage through Saffron's case of books. He wanted to find one for Kiki to read.

It helped me come up with the idea of having Kiki try to read deeper into a story. Assuming the test was similar to the ones I took when I was around her age, there were some writer intent related questions.

I sliced the onion. I was going to make some stew. It was a simple meal, but one that was filling and lasted for a good while if made in a decent sized pot. It also was cheap to make.

"I'm back!" Alli said as she walked in. "I finished putting Koga's clothes into the washer. They should be dry by the time the food is done."
