I kissed Anis on the forehead as I tucked her into her crib.
She shook her little rattle and giggled. Her hand plopped as she let out a content yawn.
Rose giggled beside me, her eyes sparkling with affection. "She looks so happy."
I nodded, a smile spreading across my face as I watched my daughter. "She really does," I replied softly. "There's something so precious about these quiet moments."
Anis's giggles echoed in the nursery, filling the room with warmth. I couldn't help but feel a swell of joy at the sight of her blissful innocence. It was moments like these that made all the challenges of parenting worthwhile.
Rose reached out to gently stroke Anis's cheek, her expression tender. "I love how her little face lights up," she said. "It makes everything else fade away, doesn't it?"
