I smiled as baby Anis ate. Today we were going to see the her pedetrician. I wanted to ask her when Anis would be able to start eating solid foods. A baby born after full terms typically is able to eat solid foods between four to five months. While Anis was now four months old, she was two months old or so when age corrected. Meaning she needed another two months or so.

As Anis nursed contentedly, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Every visit to the pediatrician was a milestone, a chance to check in on her progress and make sure she was doing well. But it also meant facing the unknowns and uncertainties that came with her unique needs.

Saffron entered the room, his presence always a calming force. "Ready for the doctor's visit?" he asked, his eyes filled with warmth and encouragement.

I nodded, feeling a bit more reassured with him by my side. "Yeah."

He leaned down and kissed my forehead.
