"Wait, we didn't get a dragon scale," Jiro said as we neared Kisara's tribe's camp.

Kisara nodded. "Yeah, Koyuki called me earlier. We originally went to the ruins to get a dragon scale to help awaken your cousin."

"Wait, but they're buried in the desert sand now! The scales were in the ruins." She blinked. "Although, maybe Kyung knows about them."

"I'll be sure to ask." I flew back toward the ruins, but my wings decided to give in.

"Hey, careful," Uneri said as he caught me before I hit the ground.

"Thanks, Uneri," I said, brushing off the sand from my clothes. "I guess I pushed my wings too hard."

Uneri looked concerned. "Are you okay, Saffron? We can wait here while you rest."

I shook my head. "No, we don't have time to waste. Milo needs my help, and if there's a chance Kyung knows something about the dragon scales, I need to find out."
