After we finished cleaning, Sil and I went on a walk, accompanied by Kine who had come over to check up on us.

"Thanks, Kine. You didn't have to," I said.

"Oh, it's no problem at all, Rose," Kine replied with a warm smile. "I know you have a lot on your plate right now, and if I can help in any way, I'm more than happy to."

I smiled back at him, feeling a wave of gratitude. Kine had always been a good friend, and his support meant more to me than he could possibly know.

"Besides," he added, ruffling Sil's hair. "I could use some fresh air, and I enjoy spending time with this little guy."

Sil giggled, grinning up at Kine. "Me too! Kine is fun!"

I couldn't help but laugh at Sil's enthusiasm. Despite the difficulties we were facing, moments like these reminded me of the good times we had, and the good times that were still to come.
