I plopped on my desk as I finished the latest round of paperwork. Maybe I needed to get some rest too.

My gaze shifted to a photo of me, Uneri, and Naotaro. I missed Uneri and my baby. Our whole family was scattered.

"You okay, Major Kisara," Jiro asked as she walked in with a new stack of papers.

I ruffled my hair. I really needed to hire a secretary to handle this stuff. It's been years since I had to do this much work. Although we would have to bet the person well. Things were still tense with Kasai no Ki. We couldn't let our guard down just yet.

"You seem like you could use a break."

I looked at the papers and sighed. While I wanted to finish them now, I didn't want to run myself to the ground either.
