I sighed as I sat in the waiting room with Milo, Koyuki, Bastian, and Setsura. We were waiting for word on Setsuka and the others.

My son glanced around the place and blinked a couple times.

Milo snickered. "Think he's remembering when he was born?"

I laughed. "Doubt it. For starters, he wasn't born in this hospital or any. Setsuka gave birth at home."

I nodded. "Yeah. The baby came a few days early and at night, so we had no choice."

Setsura smiled. "She was scared out of her mind. I tried to comfort her, but she wouldn't listen."

Milo scratched his head. "Setsuka, scared? That's hard to imagine."

I nodded. "Yeah. She rarely shows fear." Although, I'd seen it several times, it was still rare. The most recent being her concern that I might die, back in Taahid.

Setsura laughed. "That's true. But even she has her limits."

Milo smiled slightly. "Tell me more!"
