Chapter 279: Accusations

Rosemary

I watched as Dahlia sewed something in Milo's living room. They looked like shoes.

"Like them?" Dahlia asked, raising one of the shoes.

"Are those for a decoration?" I asked.

She giggled. "No, they're for my grandkid."

Baby shoes were so tiny. Did I used to have shoes like those? Did a seamstress make them? Or was it Mom? Mom would sew me dresses growing up. Maybe I needed to rummage through my baby photos for ideas. Uh, if only I had any around. They were all back home.

Ore would send some if I asked, but it was decently far for something so important. They could end up getting lost on the way.

Too bad I wasn't going to Ore's wedding. Otherwise, I could pick them up while I was there. Not that I might've been welcomed back... Ore would, but Father. Ugh, I had to forget about that. This was my new life and my new family.
