I shot my guns as soon as the wall of ice melted, unleashing another powerful ice beam. The blast of energy pushed back against the flames, sending them back toward Korei.

Korei jumped, but the resulting explosion sent him flying leftward. He flapped his wings, pushing him skyward.

I raised my weapons, preparing to fire again.

A massive blast of flames headed toward me.

I shot the ground again, forming another ice wall, but this time, the flames went over it.

My eyes widened. I had not expected that...

I flew back up as the flames cascaded down my barrier.

Korei appeared above me and unleashed another blast.

The flames collided with the ring below, melting it into lava which fell into the cloud sea below.

I winced. That was too close for comfort. I might not be able to survive a dip in molten rock.
