Aquarina PoV
I sighed as I watched the girl's husband carry her away. That poor girl probably didn't have long to live.
Lowering my hands, I returned the water into the lake in an instant. Momentarily, I made it extra bouyant for any people who might've gotten curious and checked out the lake bed. The water continued to glow somewhat, but it wasn't my doing. It was from the girl's mana. It was too strong. Had I not arrived, she would've surely died. But she wouldn't have been the only one either. The entire kingdom of Kuroriku might've been blasted away, with only a gaping blackhole in its wake.
With a heavy heart, I took to the skies, my ethereal form gliding effortlessly toward the heavenly palace. I needed to report what had transpired, to seek counsel about the girl whose fate had nearly sealed the kingdom's doom.
