Hollywood Relife

When Harry first saw the condition of JTV, he understood why it was always last in the rankings. Dusty, clogged toilets, bad network service, poor treatment of staff.

This place badly needed major renovation. The Board didn't care about JTV that much. Their main focus was always on Jackson Entertainment and news tablets. JTV was set up just to compete with other TV companies like HBO and Fox TV.

"Welcome sir. Please come this way. " A young woman came to receive him. Her uniform was neat. That was at least something on the positive side.

Turns out, it was the only thing on the positive side.

All the 50 employees of JTV had gathered in the main hall to see the young heir. They believe that he will be their savior. Some were employees that were downgraded from the HQ like the woman who came to receive him, while some where new joinees. They genuinely wished that Harry could turn their lives around.

When Harry saw the number of people who had gathered in the hall, overcrowding it, he sighed. Just how much was this place mistreated?

Atleast he had some experience with such type of conditions as in his previous life, when he had just started to build his company, it was in a similar state.

Harry just waved to them. He didn't give any motivation speech or make any promise. He didn't like giving people false hopes. He can do that only if he can actually do it, and judging by the budget allotted to him, it didn't look like it.

Just 15 million dollars for half a year.

Television Companies are supposed to earn through advertisement and those things but still, just 15 million to start out? They hardly get any major advertising offers so they can't get more money for the time being but still.

Once Harry was in his office and sorting through the company logs, he called his uncle and asked about his budget.

"It's Lawrence. He doesn't want you to succeed. I tried to argue about it but the others didn't budge. You have to make do with that for the rest your tenure. On the plus side, you can get advertising fees and sponsorship fees too." Mason tried to be optimistic.

"I can get that only if people try to watch our channel. Which they mostly don't. So for the time being, not possible." Harry said as he bridged his nose. The company logs were a mess. He needed a new secretary.

"I believe in you. Your father did too. You will do something. Just have faith in yourself. " Mason tried to encourage himself. He was under heavy pressure. He couldn't directly help Harry. Lawrence prevented him from doing so.

"I will. Just take care of mom and yourself. "

"Your mom would have broken into the Board room if the security hadn't detained her. It's better to let her stay at the news company. She needs to vent her anger and sadness some where." Mason chuckled at the memory. He broke into full laughter when he remembered Lawrence's face when he saw her. He was scared out his mind.

After chatting for some more time, Harry cut the call. He had a company to run now.
