Episode 21: Spike Ball

The group search the entirety of the Ilex Forest but Silver and the others are long gone.

Gol: Why do we keep letting them get away?

Quil: It's not like we're doing it on purpose. I want to beat his face in just as much as you do, but he keeps finding a way to get out of every situation we put him in.

Gol: Then we need to find a way to corner him somehow so that he can't run.

Bay: Maybe if we had a full team of six people against the three of them then that should make things easier.

Roco: Let's get searching then. Oh, let's get a ghost type, that should deal with Ghastly helping them run away.

Quil: We won't find one in this forest, so let's get going.

The five of them exit the Ilex Forest and walk through route 34. Coincidentally, the second they pass by the nearby daycare, the Pokédex starts to ring.

Elm: Kids, are you alright?! I haven't heard from any of you since you left and I've been so worried!

Quil: We're fine Professor. We've actually been doing pretty well for ourselves since we left.

Elm: Oh thank god, that's a relief. I can see you evolved too. It feels like just yesterday I found you, Roco, and Bay as eggs. Speaking of eggs, I have a favor I need to ask of you all. One of my assistance is at the daycare on route 34 with the egg Mr. Pokémon gave you. I'm having trouble getting it to hatch so I was hoping you guys could get it out of it's shell.

Quil: Sure, we're right by the daycare right now actually.

Elm: That's great to hear. Call me back when you manage to hatch it. Stay safe kids.

Elm hangs up the call as the group walks into the daycare. When they enter, they see a man in a lab coat talking with the old couple who run the day care.

Quil: Hi, Professor Elm sent us to pick up an egg-

The assistant shoves the egg into Quil's hands.

Assistant: Just take it. This thing has caused me nothing but trouble since I was unfortunate enough to lay my hands on it.

He runs out of the day care.

Roco: What was that about?

Quil: I have no idea. What could be so wrong about this egg?
