It flowed endlessly and it was wide.
"Is that blood?" I asked.
"Yes." He said. "You still want to be in your carriage now?"
I grumbled to myself.
"This is the Blood forest." He told me. "Everything is blood. Almost."
"Why would something like this be blood?" i asked him.
"It was a ritual haven." Al said. "King Tauri priced Nocturna over all places and then he used it as his safe haven to spill the blood of his enemies."
Al said it with such bitterness I could hear the hurt in his voice.
"The blood spilled into the grounds." He said. "And it altered the color of the lake, the trees too. Every flower here that should be white or a different shade is now red."
I looked onwards towards the lake and then into the forest.
"Are we going to go past it?" I asked hopefully.
"No." He said. "We're going to go right through it. What are you scared?"
I snorted. "Of course not."
