Chapter 11:Music of the heart

After lunch with Charles, Sarah though a little hesitant asked him to show her around a little to avoid being knocked down.

"Do you mind showing me around just a little bit, would have gone alone but you know to avoid being knocked down" she said with a smile revealing her front teeth

"Well I would have loved to but I have a musical concept practice with some of my friends, you can come along with me to watch me play" Sarah's smile faltered slightly, disappointed that Charles couldn't show her around. But his offer to watch him play at the musical concept practice intrigued her. She had always appreciated music and admired those who had the talent for it.

"I would love to come and watch you play," she replied, a spark of excitement in her eyes. "I appreciate music, and it would be wonderful to see you in action."

Charles grinned, pleased with her response. "Great! It's at a nearby studio.

Sarah nodded enthusiastically. "That sounds perfect. Lead the way!"

They walked down the bustling streets, Sarah feeling grateful to have Charles by her side. His presence provided a sense of protection in the crowded surroundings. Along the way, they chatted and laughed, finding common interests and shared experiences.

As they approached the studio, Sarah could hear the faint sounds of music escaping through the doors. The melodies were captivating, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. Inside, the studio was vibrant, filled with the energy of musicians deep in their creative process.

Charles introduced Sarah to his friends, who welcomed her with open arms. They shared stories, exchanged laughter, and Sarah felt at ease in their company. She marveled at the talent on display, from the skilled guitarists to the mesmerizing vocals.

When it was Charles's turn to perform, Sarah watched in awe as he strummed his guitar with passion, pouring his heart and soul into each note. His voice resonated throughout the studio, capturing the attention of everyone present.

Sarah found herself completely immersed in the music, her worries and anxieties temporarily forgotten. She couldn't help but admire Charles's talent and dedication, awed by his ability to express emotions through his music effortlessly.

After the performance, Charles joined Sarah, a tired but satisfied smile on his face.

"That was incredible," Sarah said, her voice filled with admiration. "You have an amazing talent, Charles. Thank you for allowing me to witness it."

Charles blushed, clearly appreciative of her kind words. "Thank you for being here, Sarah. It means a lot to me."

As they left the studio together, Sarah felt a newfound connection with Charles. While they didn't get a chance to explore the city as planned, this unexpected experience of music had turned out to be even more fulfilling. And as they walked side by side, she couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and compatibility with him. The way they had bonded over their shared love of music made her realize that they had a unique connection.

"I had such an incredible time, Charles," Sarah said, glancing up at him with a warm smile. "Thank you for inviting me to your musical concept practice. It was a delightful surprise, and I enjoyed every moment of it."

Charles returned her smile, his eyes sparkling with genuine happiness. "I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Sarah. It means a lot to me that you were there to support me. I had a feeling you would appreciate the music, and I'm thrilled we could share this experience together."

They continued walking, the city lights illuminating their path. The conversation flowed effortlessly, as if they had known each other for much longer than they actually did. Sarah found herself opening up to Charles, sharing her dreams, fears, and aspirations without hesitation.

With each step, their connection deepened. Sarah admired Charles's kindness, his ability to listen attentively, and his genuine care for others. He made her feel seen and understood, fostering a sense of comfort and trust that she hadn't experienced in a long time.

The conversation effortlessly continued, flowing from one topic to another. They laughed, shared stories, and discovered more commonalities along the way. As the evening grew darker outside, Sarah realized that she had lost track of time.

She glanced at Charles, a mixture of excitement and nervousness bubbling within her. "Charles, I've had such a wonderful time with you today. Would you... maybe, invite me to more of your musical practice next?"

Charles's eyes widened, a look of genuine surprise spreading across his face. He paused for a moment, taking in her words before a bright smile formed on his lips.

"Sarah, I would always invite you to any performance I play, as long as you're willing to come" he replied, his voice filled with genuine enthusiasm.

Sarah's heart fluttered with joy, her smile widening. In that moment, she knew that this, the feeling in her heart seem to burn up a little
