Chapter 14: A Moment of Terror that Changed my Life

Okay, so I lied a little. Well, I stretched the truth. Okay, I just left out a few details. I don’t really want to go into it right now, so I’m just going to show you what I wrote after it happened.

***

I just had a near-death experience. And I mean really near death. Nearer than I ever thought I’d get. Except, you know, once. Though I never expected this to happen to me.

This sort of thing doesn’t happen to people. Not really. It was unreal.

Let me explain.

Usually, when I travel to a new city, I spend about five days there. I explore as much as I can, I take pictures, I find local spots, I do a couple of interviews. I build up as much content as I can, so that I have something to work with until I can afford another trip.

But eventually, I want some time to myself, to just relax and let go. Time when I don’t have to be on the clock, when I don’t have to worry about content, or about videos, or lives or anything like that. Time when I don’t have to spend any money.
