Staring Unblinkingly At Him~

The event came sooner than expected. Nicholas didn't even call his mother, and neither did he pick up the women's call. It angered Rosa so much that she started feeling dizzy, but she knew she couldn't do anything about it.

So she actively helped her daughter-in-law prepare for her day. But she still had a frown on her face as she did Abigail's hair.

"Honestly, I don't want you to go alone with that stupid son of mine." Rosa pressed her lips in a thin line. "I fear he might do something worse."

"That's exactly what I want!" Abigail mumbled under her breath.

"What did you say?" Rosa didn't hear it clearly.

"Nothing, I'll be fine." Abigail tried her best to give the woman a reassuring smile.

The more she tried, the sadder Rosa became. She sighed and patted the girl's head gently. "I wish I could go, but I can't."

"Hmm? Why can't you?" Abigail stood up after her hair was done. It was open with curls at the end. The front of her hair was tied up in a few small braids, creating a unique pattern.

She tilted her head as she straightened her purple gown filled with sparkling gems. She said, "It's a masquerade party, isn't it?"

She picked up a mask that matched with her outfit, but also had a black design, making it look mysterious. She tied it on her face and said, "No one can recognize you anyway."

"Yes!" Rosa's eyes lit up as she slapped Abigail's shoulders playfully. "You're the best!"

"I know!" There wasn't anyone better than her in the entire world! Abigail's narcissistic tendency reached the top, making her prideful nose grow further.

"Okay, now, you go and join the party. I'll enter later." Rosa made a decision and became excited as she pushed the young lady and handed her a small purse. "Off you go! The driver has been waiting for a while already!"

"Okay!"

Abigail giggled, secretly patting herself on the back for inviting her mother-in-law. The upcoming party was sure going to be interesting~

Half an hour passed before Abigail's car reached the company headquarters to pick Nicholas up. Abigail raised her head and stretched her neck and looked at the entrance of the building. The man was still not here, but it seemed as if everyone had gone off work, leaving only guards behind at the main door of the lobby.

Suddenly, the glass door slid open, revealing a familiar young man fully dressed in a black outfit. His entire suit was glittering in silver as lights from the side street reflected onto the gemstones studded onto the silk suit. A beautiful black mask tied on his face with a golden design.

The man was indeed the definition of cold but handsome, looking exactly like a heavenly figure who had just descended from the heavens.

Abigail stared at the man with her eyes widened.

Godd*mn… Did I really create such a wonderful character? I can stare at him the entire night!

Her eyes seemed to be stuck to the man even when he walked over and sat on the other side. Abigail shamelessly stared at him unblinkingly so much so that even Nicholas started feeling weird.

He cleared his throat, but the woman didn't move.

Veins popped on his forehead.

Fine. It's just staring at him, isn't it? Let her do whatever she wants. It's her eyes that would ultimately hurt because of the unblinking stare.

He was used to being stared at all day long anyway.

Thus, for the entire half an hour, the stunned Abigail continued to stare at the man and eventually had to blink at times, but other than that, she wasn't obstructed at all. By the end of the journey, she was so gleeful after staring that she giggled secretly and mumbled to herself, "Sure enough, there's no one better than me! Only I can create such a handsome-looking guy!"

They soon reached their destination.

It wasn't an ordinary party. Abigail had lightly mentioned it as the last event that Nicholas attended before his imminent death during the business tour, but she hadn't cared about describing what kind of party it actually was. So when they reached the place, she was stunned to see how big it looked!

The entrance itself was full of spotlights and flower decorations. Several reporters stood on either side, blocked by the guards. There was a red carpet laid down in front of the main gate to welcome the guests. One after another, the guests walked down the red carpet and entered the place.

Abigail's eyes finally glanced at other people as she looked over at the carpet area.

The place was filled with flashes coming from the cameras on either side. Celebrities came one after another, waving their hands at the cameras. Despite wearing masks, the reporters could identify the celebrities walking down the carpet, asking questions enthusiastically.

One name, though, caught Abigail's attention.

"Miss Anne Bennett, what do you have to say about that controversial hug?"

"Miss Bennett, Mr. Thompson has refused to associate with the likes of you, so he says on Twitter. What do you have to say about that?"

"Miss Bennett…"

And the questions continued one after another. A young woman hurried over to the carpet, not opening her mouth at all. Her wavy omber hair matched well with her mask as she wore a green gown that looked more sexy than elegant with her leg open from the side.

Abigail's eyes stuck to that woman as her eyes widened.

Another character that she had created.

The villain's best friend from the university! The setting that she had vaguely crafted included the villain having two best buddies when she was still going to college. But when the Dawsons faced financial issues, Chloe didn't hesitate before selling out her own daughter and wiping her daughter's name from the college.

So basically, the villain hadn't gotten to meet her best friends for an entire week!

Of course, there was a reason why Abigail was paying more attention to that controversial star. It was because she was also one of the victims, the person who died more cruelly than anyone else.

Heh, Abigail still remembered the day she wrote that scene. Back then, she was feeling murderous toward her own mother who didn't even bother coming to her even after months had passed.

So she vented her emotions through that evil scene, killing Anne more brutally than the others, torturing the poor girl for an entire week!

Thinking about it, Abigail coughed and averted her eyes in guilt. It wasn't her fault that she killed her character that way! To her, this world was fictional! Who knew it would come to life one day?!

Ah, she couldn't face this best friend thrown at her face by fate!
