A Midsummer Night's Love Poem

I took a deep breath and nodded.

At 11 o'clock in the evening, Doechill Street was bustling with noise and excitement.

I knew it was a place for adults to seek fun so I had never been there before.

Joseph took me to a bar.

It was my first time coming to a place like this. I felt a little uneasy and followed him closely.

The music was deafening and the light was dazzling, irritating my retina.

Joseph went deftly to the bar counter and knocked on it. "One Jägermeister."

Then he shot me a glance and asked, "Do you drink?"

I nodded.

Raising his eyebrows in surprise, Joseph turned around and said to the bartender, "One Mojito for this lady."

I didn't expect that Joseph had invited his friends too. When they saw me, they immediately became excited.

One of them asked, "Joseph, who is she?"

He sat down casually and said, "A close family member. She's still a child. Don't even think about it."

The man replied, "Come on, Joseph. Don't be so protective."
