A Midsummer Night's Love Poem

3

At this moment, I couldn't tell whether I was sad or aggrieved.

He messed up my date and warned me, a grown-up, not to fall in love at an early age.

Then why did all these weird things happen?

But I was a coward. I just gave him a hard kick, snatched the key, and ran away.

After I went back home, I rushed into my room, and packed my things, ready to move out tonight.

I remembered that I had the only key to this house. If I left now, he wouldn't be able to get in.

So, I sat down on the sofa and waited for him silently.

The hands of the clock on the wall pointed at 12 now but Joseph was not back yet. Unexpectedly, I fell asleep lying on the sofa.

In my dream, I saw that beautiful girl again. She put her arms around Joseph's neck and said to me, "The romantic relationship is not for kids. Joseph belongs to me."

I fell to the ground, frightened by the noise of the alarm clock.

I rubbed my sore neck and slowly got up.
