Outside the window, the night fell.
Cillian opened the door and came in with a strong smell of tobacco.
"Let's go. Aiden is still waiting for us at home."
I didn't move.
He sneered. "Are you going to sleep with him here?"
"Don't be naive. Miracles don't always happen. Even if they do, it won't be today."
"Kristen, be good. I don't want to make you cry."
I stood up silently.
I realized something when I got into the elevator.
It seemed that Cillian didn't care about Victoria as much as he said.
If he really cared, he would take me to Victoria's ward as soon as we got off the plane.
"Where is Victoria?"
Cillian raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"She's downstairs. You want to see her?"
He smiled playfully, "Don't you hate her? I assume you're in a hurry to see how miserable she is now?"
I pursed my lips. "You were not going to let me wake her up."
I probed.
I didn't expect him to admit it openly.
"My dear Kristen, you're so smart."
