Chapter 11
As I turned to leave through the exit on the 13th floor, I discovered that the boy outside the door had locked it before I could.
I straightened out my dress and descended the stairs to meet Alexander and Summer naturally.
Their expressions were a contrast.
It was really interesting.
Particularly Alexander, who tried to break free from Summer's grip and rush towards me. However, she held him back tightly.

"We can't let her tell anyone about our relationship. If my husband finds out, he'll kill me for sure."
Summer's voice trembled as she unbuttoned her high collar, revealing the bruises on her neck and shoulder.
She pleaded with Alexander, but he just stood still. So she turned to me with tearful eyes.

"Eve, please, don't tell your dad, okay? He will kill me, for real. I won't do it again."
I raised my hand and slapped her, causing her pearl hairpin to fall and her long hair to tumble down her shoulders.
Now, she appeared even more vulnerable.
