The Fitness Camp

Everyone was still resting. I didn't tell them about the password problem. I just told them to rest for a while and wait for the cable cart to start.

I motioned for Alice and Eli to come closer.

As soon as Eli heard the news, his face fell and became shrouded in gloom.

I told Eli, "Don't blame yourself. I didn't believe Hank either, and now it turns out he was telling the truth about the password. It's possible that he wasn't lying about the wolves at night either."

Alice agreed with me and suggested a plan. "We can't afford to sit here and wait," she said. "Henry, go back and reassure the others. I'll search for Coach Carter's drone nearby and see if he's following us. Eli, look for a suitable location for defense."

Eli remained silent, turning to head west.

I cautioned Alice to be careful and hastened back to the camp.

Upon seeing me return, Nora exclaimed, "What's the matter? Isn't the cable car just ahead? Why hasn't it started yet?"
