I Did It

Ava lowered her head but finally held it stubbornly up and forced a smile.

William, however, couldn't smile.

I patted him on the face. "Give me a smile. I know you're upset about your breakup, but you don't have to pull a long face, do you? It's Ava's most important day today. Be a man and let it go."

He forced a smile, and we took a few more photos.

After that, Ava suddenly said to William, "Would you mind staying away? I want to take a few photos with Anson."

"Sure."

William walked away. He and his men seemed to be enjoying the wedding, but they were standing in every direction I could flee. They looked like they had their hands in their trouser pockets, but they only put their thumbs inside.

Did they do it because they could easily pull their guns out?

I stood next to Ava and heard her whisper, "I hate him. I used to think he loved me, but he's such a cruel man. He kept me waiting all these years, and now he's taking you away from me... I just want my family to be safe."
