You're Out Of Business

The teenagers quickly obeyed Adrian's instructions, happy that they would see their families again. While running to the car, they saw two bodies lying unconscious on the ground close to the bus. It appears Adrian knocked them out so as to get the keys to bus.

The boy who could drive started the engines after everyone got in and drove through the gate. Adrian watched them leave then flew into the clouds so as to cover the kids through the air.

Suddenly he began hearing a noise like a multitude of engines revving all at once. He looked towards Dentine's factory and saw a fair amount of dust being raised.

Suddenly a bunch of buggies and dirt bikes exited the compound. They began going in the direction the bus took.

"This is bad. Okay. Here goes nothing." Adrian said and dives from within the clouds which he was hiding. Targeting the motorcycle in front, whose cycler was holding an uzi machine gun, he landed on back of the dirt bike.

Before the cycler could turn around, Adrian controlled his left wing to hit him by the side of his neck, which passed him out cold immediately, dropping him to the ground. Then he lifted the bike like it was nothing and threw it towards a buggy.

On collision with the military buggy, the buggy diverted away from the road, with the bike stuck inside. The driver was knocked out cold by the force in which the bike used in hitting the buggy. After the damaged buggy hit the sand, it turned to its side and remained so.

Adrian was dealing with a rather stubborn driver in a separate buggy when another buggy passed by him in full speed, headed after the bus containing the escaped youngsters.

Adrian quickly knocked out the driver of the jeep he was dealing with, and quickly flew after the other buggy.

Soon there was the sound of rapid machine gun fire, breaking glasses and screaming.

Adrian on hearing this, got so enraged that he flew at jet speed and grabbed the gun off the shooter's hands. To the shooter's surprise, it just felt like the gun disappeared from his hands.

The shooter looked up and watched as Adrian squeezed the firearm like crumpling paper. Then he flew into the clouds, a golden light trailing after him. About a minute later, a strange projectile like a meteor, began falling from the sky towards the buggy that was pursuing the bus.

The assistant driver looked closely at the falling projectile and was wowed at what he saw. "What the f*#k is this?" He said, terrified, which made the driver look.

The falling projectile, which was covered in golden flame, was actually Adrian, and he was spinning really fast, gathering force from the sky.

The occupants of that buggy quickly opened the doors and jumped out of the vehicle for fear of impending death.

The falling light crashed into the buggy from above, shattering all it's glass windows to bits and lifting the vehicle sky high into the air. The flying vehicle paused in the air, then descended on two unsuspecting bikes and blocked the road for the remaining three buggies.

Adrian got into the bus through the rear shattered glass window and found out no one was hurt except for one person on the front seat aside the driver got grazed on the arm by a bullet, while about two at the back got minor injuries caused by glass bits.

Adrian got to healing the kids at the back first, before taking care of the wounded in the front seat. Before leaving, the communicator on the car dashboard crackled, gave a static response for a while, then a voice sounded from it. "Report. Do you have the subjects? Over." The boy who was driving, and the other kids in the front seat looked at Adrian nervously.

Obviously, being with Boris Dentine and viewing his hideous grimace and hearing his voice had a chilling effect on the kids. Worse, witnessing their fellow children turn into berserk monsters.

Adrian picked the communicator and flew to sit at the top of the bus. "I have them. They're never coming back." He said into the communicator.

Dentine shook on his lab balcony when he heard Adrian's voice. "How are you still alive? Those highly trained elites should have finished you off." Boris said in a shaky voice.

"Oh. Elites? My bad. I was beginning to have fun. Maybe you should send more. I can have more fun that way." Adrian said and chuckled.

" I will have my subjects back, kid. Just wait." An exasperated Boris said.

"Too late. We already left the estate like two minutes ago, so you lose." Adrian smilingly said.

"That bus is being tracked. They can't run. You see, you aren't wise enough." Boris said and gave his sinister chuckle.

"Is that so? See if your tracker is online." Adrian said and chuckled lightly.

Boris sensed something was amiss. He rushed to his computer and was surprised at what he saw.

Unfortunately, Adrian smartly uninstalled the tracker and left it in front of the abandoned lab. When Dentine looked into his computer screen, he saw that the tracker put his current location as the last location even after reloading it many times.

"I will kill you, boy." Boris said, seething with anger.

"No. You're out of business." Adrian said in a jolly tone.

"Even if it takes me my last serum, I will hunt you down and kill you." Boris said, his face turning red with anger.

"Enough. You're becoming annoying already." Adrian said and crumpled the communicator like rough paper and left the pieces on the road.

Adrian ensured that the kids got to their houses before retiring home for the night.

Adrian took his bath to rid himself of the stain and smell of blood. After that, Nancy came into the room.

"Baby, where have you been? You had me worried." Nancy said, obviously worried.

"I'm fine, mom. Hope you're good? I heard what happened on the news."

"I'm not injured, son. You showed up right on time."

"Thanks mom. How's my Dad?"

"He's fine. He's already asleep."

"You should get to bed, mom. And did my dad say anything on where he was and what happened?"

"No dear. But he insisted he'll let us know about everything tomorrow. "

"Okay mom." Adrian said and yawned. "Goodnight. I'm sleepy."

Adrian slept and had a strange dream.
