Aava

"The great expansion was a huge success. We were shown images and videos of successful colonization of those visited worlds. Most of them became a utopia in just a short amount of time.

Time works differently in different planets of the universe. One of the originals sent us a picture of a really bustling city just two years after he left to expand.

He was surprised that on Aava, he was away for two years, meanwhile it took him eighteen years to fully convert the dense jungles of 55326b into a city.

But after a while, all communication was suddenly cut off. Dozens and dozens and even hundred of messages and video request were sent, yet there was no answer.

At first, we decided to wait for about a decade for answers because they could be in different times, but nothing changed. Our planetary leader announced tearfully that we've lost our primary species.

'THE ORIGINALS HAVE FALLEN.' The whole planet felt the loss because the originals were literally our protectors and our predecessors. Many interstellar threats have come to claim our planet, but the joint might of about five hundred thousand god-level originals, not only chased them away, but destroyed their entire fleet.

As you know, the originals look like us. The only difference being their wings. We are a product of their evolution. Whenever creatures sense they're reducing in population, they take drastic measures to make sure they still exist.

The Aava asked for volunteers for their experiments to expand their species. Two nearby planets about five hundred thousand light years from ours sent a message that they'll volunteer their citizens. My planet, Sertorius and Greene's planet, Seere, volunteered.

Sertorious was a planet that bred warriors while Seere bred unique people who had the unique ability of seeing a person's past and sometimes his future based on the level of their cultivation.

Greene can see someone's past. He looked into yours and didn't attack. Maybe yours is either sad or innocent.

And that arrow I threw towards you was neurally controlled to give you a headshot. When Greene gave the signal, I directed the arrow into his hand instead."

Adrian got shocked at Narah's revelation to the extent that the hair on his body stood on end. Does this mean, if not for his past, he could've died about twenty minutes ago?

That realization changed Adrian's mood in an instant. He became nauseated all of a sudden. After he calmed down by bending his head low and taking a few deep breaths, he raised his head and asked a question.

"If Seere was a planet that bred cultivators, why does he look more like a warrior?" Adrian asked Narah about Greene.

"Greene is a cross breed between a Sertorioan and a Seere. That's why he's so buff and has that third eye also." Narah replied.

Adrian nodded and stared at Narah. She has the body of a model. Her pretty looking face and her hair color that matched with her eyes killed every suspicion about her warrior side.

"I'm a warrior, Adrian. I'm just different. My weapon is my mind. I use my cerebral capacity in controlling various ranged weapons. That's my main strength. They call us the Telekinesis Gurus. We're like the rarest kind of warriors around." Narah said, as if she could read Adrian's mind. She gets that look everytime so it wasn't her first time.

Telekinesis Gurus? So there were really people who could use their minds in moving things. And the thing is that they are very few of them on Earth. But on the Planet Aava, he was baffled to hear there exists an entire colony of them.

"Uhh, Greene? What's that for?" Adrian said to Greene, pointing to a ring on the middle finger of his right hand, with a shinning green emerald.

"Huh? Oh okay. It's called a control band. It helps in holding back my berserk side. I'm a normal Seere, but I'm also a rare breed of warrior called the Berserker. Everyone who's a Berserker wears the ring and only takes it off when the threat is world-class.

With the ring off, a Berserker's potential gets to its highest point and he can even sunder mountains with his punch. And also, everyone becomes an enemy, so everyone retreats to a safe distance whenever any Berserker takes off his ring. It takes a Seere Mage to petrify a Berserker long enough to get the control band back on his finger."

Adrian was baffled. Berserkers? Sundering high mountains with a mere punch? This was too much. He could even feel his head throbbing. He felt a migraine.

So how can I get home? I feel I've spent a lot of time here." Adrian asked.

Adrian had no idea of how long he's spent in this strange space and was feeling uncomfortable especially after confirming the existence of extraterrestrial life in the universe.

"Same way you came, boy. The gates." Greene said, rather cheerfully. It would seem the fact that Narah recognized him as being buff lifted his spirits.

"Okay. Thanks for your time and everything. I'd like to go back to my planet now. I have no idea how long I've spent here. Godspeed. Hope I'll be able to come another time." Adrian said and stood up and was about floating towards the gates when Narah called him back.

"Adrian. Wait. There's something I have to give to you."

Narah removed a device like a phone and pressed a few buttons. A minute later, one of the AI powered bots flew to their direction bearing a medium sized box in its hands, and stopped in front of Narah.

Narah collected the box, prompting the robot to fly off and continue its duties. She went closer to Adrian and handed him the box.

"No. I'm sorry but I... I can't accept this. You don't have to give gifts to a stranger on first meeting. And besides my body's at home and it's just my consciousness here. How will I even receive it?" A confused Adrian asked, shocked by the turnout of events.

Narah gave an understanding smile.

"I understand things turned around so quickly, Adrian. But this 'gift' will be needed by you sooner or later. I forgot to tell you about the Aava's archenemy. I'll do that the next time you come. For now, accept this gift. You've given us hope that the originals may return. You've given us the answer we've been waiting half a million years for. This is a token of our appreciation, Adrian. Please accept it."

"And yeah. You'll see it when you wake up." Greene added.

Adrian said nothing. He smiled, and accepted the box.

"Godspeed." Adrian said then floated towards the gate. As soon as the gate opened, he found a wormhole waiting for him. Confused,he looked back, then earned a nod of approval from Narah and Greene and then jumped in.
