Chapter 7: Misunderstanding to kill.

Galina paused, and she seems attacked. "Iñigo.. would you mind repeating that again?" she glared at him, and started to tighten her grip on me again. I tried to catch my breathe, but her thumb kept on squeezing on my esophagus it's getting hard to inhale oxygen.

Iñigo started tearing up, but he tried to stop it by inhaling and exhaling. It's obvious he's scared with her, no wonder he denies her, yet I don't know if she's keeping a blind eye about it or she's just insensitive.

"Mama, please let go of her." he begs calmly. Galina just stared at him, without any intention of actually letting me go.

"Give me a reason why?" she responded. Her eyebrows are raised, as her eyelids are lowered. Her gun is still pointed at me, and her hands are still wrapped around my neck. I couldn't move for I was afraid, and I feel like my nervousness will send me fainting from fear.

Iñigo was seen trembling as he's stopping his tears from falling. He clenched his fist, and bowed his head, "She saved me...Mama." he muttered, but Galina didn't hear it. "What?" She exclaimed.

Iñigo inhaled deep and screamed, "She saved me!"

Galina was surprised, and her grip on me finally was let go. "Please don't kill her mama. I'm sorry." he continued. The tears he's been holding finally slid down on his cheeks as Galina immediately left my side and went to comfort her kid.

"How did I even ended up in a situation like this?" I soliloquized. Just a moment ago, she's a cold and enigmatic woman, now you'll think of her as sweet loving woman as if she didn't suddenly pointed a gun on someone she just suspected.

Although the situation is somewhat in need of common sense to understand it, I still demand for an explanation. You don't think I'll let it slide when someone literally just asked for my life a second ago do you.

I was mad. My fear of her was still valid, but confusion and anger overcame.

"So.. what's happening?" I asked hesitantly, but composed myself into someone confident despite meeting with death earlier. Galina, who's hugging and wiping Iñigo's tears ignored what I just said, and continued on lecturing Iñigo about how his daddy is so worried he would kill.

"This is the second time you've done this. Didn't I tell you that you'll worry us, especially your father? He's gone berserk because he found you missing. Good thing I was once a tracker, if I'm not I wouldn't be able to find you." she exclaimed. Her voice and her actions are gentle, but still with the gun in her hands. Iñigo was silent and just kept on nodding on what Galina is saying.

I sighed and calmed myself on the sofa. I drank the water I served earlier, since it looks like she doesn't have the intention of drinking water at this time. I leaned back, leaving the both of them have their moment alone, while I am still tranquilizing myself.

I was surprised when a hand tenderly tapped me on the back. I turned around and saw Galina standing behind, looking at me. "What?" I uttered.

She turned around and puts down her gun on the table, as she sit on the couch across me.

My eyebrows furrowed, "Huh, where's Iñigo?" I asked. "I convinced him to go to his designated room." she replied while she crosses her legs. I nodded.

I avoided her eyes, for I am still intimidated by her. I really thought she'll shoot me, yet I doubted that since her kid is watching.

Silence swallowed the room. My sweat was dripping silently on my clothes too. She's just staring at me, which is making me feel awkward and uncomfortable. Though despite that, I just let it be.

"I know you long for an explanation." she finally started. Her words made me glanced at her instantly, but as fast as I looked is as fast as I averted.

I really don't have the courage to look at her, let alone speak to her. If Iñigo wasn't here, would she have let me go? Could she really kill me?

"I'm sorry for my actions earlier. I know I scared you, and I feel bad about that." she continued. I stayed quiet, for I intend to only listen to her.

"You may have known it, but in case you didn't noticed, he's my biological child. I gave birth to him, only for him to be a heir of a Yakuza." she paused. Her eyes is now lowered, and she seems sincere with what she is saying.

"My mother is spanish, and she's the one who named him." explains why his name sounds very much a latino or español.

"He had already ran away for the second time this year, after finding out his purpose in the world. The first time he ran away, he was picked up by a disgusting pedophile, which is why I abruptly pointed a gun at you, with the intent to actually kill."

Wait—does that mean she killed the pedophile? How come she's not in jail yet? So I really must've lost my head if Iñigo wasn't here.

"But why are you acting all alone? Where's your husband?" I asked. By her expression, I suddenly feel lightened. But shit, I remembered again what happened last night. Fuck? Does this make me a mistress?

"He's just my husband in paper. Also, being alone is preferable for it doesn't really attract attention and my task would be easier." she replied. My eyebrows are raised, "But you already attracted people enough with just your looks, lol." I said in my mind.

"Anyway, that's all you need to know. Thank you for saving Iñigo. I'll now take him. I'm sorry again." she said and stood up, planning to go upstairs to get Iñigo from his room. I stay sat, blank mindedly staring at the air, processing if the explanation made sense or it's just me.

I heard their footsteps getting back down. I couldn't resist myself and faced them. I wanted to bid goodbye to Iñigo, although he's only with me for weeks, I still appreciate the moment we shared that was unseen.

"You be a good boy. Don't run away again, alright?" I told the boy and patted his head. He nodded and smiled. "Can you come?" he suddenly spoke.

My eyes are widened, so are Galina's. "But darling.. she has some things to do." Galina persuaded.

Iñigo puts on some puppy eyes for Galina and me to fall. Oddly enough, I did. "I don't really have any projects to work on. I plan on retiring." I uttered.

Galina looked at me and smirked. "You sure you wanna come?" she asked. Now I am intimidated by her tone, although I didn't really say I'll go, what I just said earlier indirectly stated that I will.

"Please?" Iñigo pleaded, holding my hands and squeezing them. I gave up and sighed, "Sure." I finally answered.

This is the last moment of my peaceful life before it expedite into something I did not expect.
