It was early December. Fang peak was filled to the tippy top. YES! With snow of course. What others saw as a joyful season, the inhabitants of fang despised greatly. Not because of the cold but rather the color of the snow - "White."
White was a symbol of purity and peace. In most places, considered as a fresh start or a new beginning. This was something that didn't sit well with red hairs for obvious reasons.
Many of them wishes it was tiny pieces of molten lava, instead of the beautiful unique snowflake that adds to the beauty of a snowy winter landscape - so that everyone would die a slow and excruciatingly painful death. Everyone excluding them.
Apart from their tremendous strength, they had a little something in their toolboxes. "FIRE IMMUNITY." They couldn't be harmed by fire no matter what!
The people of fang loved and celebrated their fire immunity so much that they held a celebration every year. They called it the: FIRE OF LIFE.
The fire of life is an evil and terrifying event congenial for the heartless red hairs. It takes place in the deepest cavern of fang mountain lit only by the flickering lights of torches. The cavern would be filled with red hairs, dressed in red robes that compliment their red heads. They make a bonfire at the center of the cavern where they sacrifice any imposter and burn them to death. Then destroy anything good....the fangs were truly terrible beings!
The guards walked down the snowy path, their lit torches casting shaky shadows on the leafless trees that were coated with snow. The snow shone like diamonds in the night sky. The sounds of their footsteps was muffled by the thick layer of snow. They could see the palace from where they were. It's windows glowing with a warm light.
As they drew closer to the palace, they were welcomed with the usual cries of prisoners being tortured in the dungeon. They quickened their pace eager to return to the palace walls. Their breath formed little clouds of white vapor as they ran.
The guards reached the gate of the palace and handed their torches to the gate keepers. They bowed their heads and hurried inside.
"I can never get used to this..." One of the guards said in a murmur. The guard next to him nudged him to keep quiet.
No one speaks in chief hezra's palace, because even the walls have ears
The cruel ruler of fang. "Hezra." Was the worst of his kind. He ruled fang peak with an iron fist. Fang peak didn't have kings and queens like a typical kingdom, it had chiefs that ruled.
The guards made their way to the solar, where they were instructed to wait outside.
"The chief has guests." Said the private royal guard with a stern gaze.
"Tell him...it is US. The ones sent to delu, we bring with us news." They replied.
After awhile they were allowed inside. They bowed their heads to show respects to hezra. Some squeezed their faces upon seeing Zagaroth.
However this wasn't the first time Zagaroth was spotted in fang peak. Despite having no sort of relationship with the chief, he occasionally visited hezra in secrecy. Accompanied by his most trusted right hand man. "Hogalbar." And a few private royal guards.
"Tell me about news from delu my faithful yowa." Hezra said to one of the guards.
"Yes my chief." He came forward.
Zagaroth sipped his yueng herbal tea and placed it on the mini table in front of him.
"My chief, I was informed about the child with the blue mark..."
Zagaroth leapt on his feet interrupting yowa.
Hezra gave yowa a sign to continue speaking. He nodded then continued. "My chief...it has been confirmed!"
"Marvellous!" Zagaroth exclaimed.
Hezra stroked his chin and cackled. "History then you leave."
Yowa began:
Gender: male
Age: ninth year of living
Status: descendant of Taurus - the first ruler of delu
Abilities: he has no special features
Disability: blind
"Perfect! Give him ultimate care and service." Hezra ordered.
The guards bowed and left.
"We have found him..." Zagaroth said with hope glittering in his eyes.
Hezra kept mute then replied after awhile. "Don't get your hopes high friend. Finding the blue joaji isn't that easy...that's if it even EXISTS."
Zagaroth cackled and took another sip of his tea.
"Easy?? It's been 18 years hezra... hoping is the only thing I can do as a helpless father."
Yowa returned and mumbled something to hezra. The chief nodded and dismissed him.
"About the child..." He turned to Zagaroth. "He will be tested on the full moon of next month. During the..."
"Fire of life."
"Fire of life."
They said in chorus.
"I hope you won't get over anticipated and die before then?" Hezra cackled and Zagaroth joined.
"Perhaps I'll die, but the world shall witness the rise of zeldox..."
