A SWORD'S DECEIT: FAVOR'S BURDEN

The next morning Yori and Noa returned with the infant in a glass jar. The king was shocked to see his nephew laying so vulnerable and small in a glass jar, like a specimen in a museum.

"What have you done to him?"

"He is now out of risk sire." Yori began as she fell at his feet, "he is on a life-preserving spell. Something us, the mages cannot do. Forgive me your Highness for I have sinned punish me sire!"

The king give her a sign to stand up and asked her when the child would wake.

"Your majesty the spell will only last for nine months, after that we'll have to take him back for renewal and during this. The child shall remain like this he will only wake when he drinks mystical blood. The king nodded. He didn't want to be favored by the sorcerers, he didn't want to break the oath. But his brother didn't leave him with any option.

He had to save a life, "we'll take him back when the time comes, take him to his father and then to his new chambers."

"Yes sire."
