CHAPTER 29: DISGUSTING BETRAYAL

After the fight, the superpowers of the earth had left their domain and already came to the US to wait for the return of the four heroes but it looked as if the four had just disappeared from the surface of the earth. The superpowers dare not leave for fear of offending these people and just like that, one month passed with everyone waiting for these four heroes anxiously.

Mark was in the warehouse sitting down on the floor in the middle of the large room. He did not know how much time passed but "Bang" the last of the fifty meridians broke open and it looked like a dam was opened in his body. His whole body felt as if he had become new, his strength was on an entirely different level from one month ago because one month ago, he only opened twenty meridians and today he had opened fifty meridians.

Strength: 5110

Agility: 5160

Speed: 5160

Stamina: 5160

Defense: 5140

"Time to advance to tier 1," He said as he closed his eyes and started to absorb the blood essence inside his body.

After three weeks

#Congratulations on reaching level 30. The third evolution is now available. Do you choose the evolve now?

He was informed.

"No" he did not choose to evolve yet.

#Evolution will automatically continue in 24 hours

He was informed. He summoned his status screen

He went to his available status point.

#Available status point: 255

He added 55 to his strength. He added 60 to agility and stamina respectively and 80 to his defense.

#Strength: 5165

#Agility: 5220

#Speed: 5220

#Stamina: 5220

#Defense: 5220

He then chose to evolve. The chaotic and primal energy began to cleanse his body again but this time the primal energy was more visible, it started from his skeleton. His skeleton was strengthened by the primal energy, he felt pain but the pain was bearable until it got to his skin and organs. He felt unbearable burning pain as they were being washed out. The burning pain ended and the two energies moved onto his soul. That was where the unbearable pain started, it felt like dying to him. A black diamond-shaped scale appeared on his body and soon covered him up. Wings popped out from his back but this time, it was three pairs of wings. The transformation and the evolution soon ended and he transformed back into his human state while taking out a cloth to wear.

#100 meridians available now to open

# Fifty meridians on the right hands opened.

He transferred chaotic energy to his right arm and he felt the chaotic energy entering some opening in his right arm. His arm became strengthened while pitch black chaotic energy blazed on it. Fifty tiny meridians that took the shape of stars appeared on his right arm, they lit up. They already formed a connection to it and it then went into his world. He was amazed by the pure sight of it.

"This is true strength," he said.

"More will come when you become a perfect creature," Liz said.

"Right now, you are still defective," she said.

"That's a rather harsh word to use" he answered her.

#you have reached tier one, armor will now be strengthened.

He was informed, the remaining blood essence in his body was sucked dry but it was not enough, so his blood essence started to get absorbed towards the armor. Over thirty percent of his blood essence was sucked dry, his face became pale.

"Shit, I need to have enough blood essence for this kind of situation when I evolve next time," He said in anguish. Losing thirty percent of his blood essence was not a small deal, he would need a long time to recover. Soon something started to extend from his body, it was the armor.

The armor for the two shoulders was formed, and it soon extended to the upper part of his body. The hand armors were joined together at the finger and the shoulders were joined together with a long narrow and sharp-end blade stretching out at the hand joint, it can be used to reverse attack. The armor for the chest was four sections perfectly joined together. The division made them look exquisitely carved out and the back was also the same.

It then extended to his neck and then to his face. It covered his whole face while two horns extended on the head of the armor to make him look fearsome. The leg was also perfectly fitted while a cape stretched down from the waist. It was like a mixture of black and red. All in all, the armor was elegant and powerful. It adds a fifty percent boost to his stats and also one hundred percent to his defense. Too terrifying. He retracted the armor into his body.

He closed his eyes to check on his miniature world, there were still cracks all over it but they looked better than when he experienced the attack. He saw his soul sitting down on a platform with closed eyes. Under the platform was what looked like another dimension with water and fire swirling around but the water was far more than fire.

"Those are the laws you have comprehended, they are strengthening the soul," Liz told him. Beside the platform was a lake with white liquid,

"Your ability cells" Liz explained. He saw a lake filled with red liquid surrounding the platform.

"Your blood essence," Liz told him. He continued looking around and saw that one part of the world was already filled with primal energy. He looked up and saw the pitch-black dimension and the golden dimension moving closer to each other. Their edge is touching each other.

He opened his eyes and stood up.

It's been almost two months since he had been in seclusion cultivation

"The outside world would have changed a lot." He thought as he walked out of the warehouse.

The Earth has reversed back to its normal pace with people going about doing their normal jobs while the memories of the events that took place were still vivid in their minds. In the white house, sixty people sat around a table,

"It's been almost two months and we've been waiting for this set of people who we don't even know will kill us or not," A man who looked like he was in his sixties said when they gathered in the meeting house one day.

"They saved you" Another middle-aged woman argued.

"Who knows whether they want to use us as puppets" The man argued.

"So what do you want us to do" Another one of the leaders asked.

"There is a bomb we planted in the primordial forest, the ten million hydrogen ton bomb, they cannot survive that because they almost died from the missiles that were sent to them so let's use it on them," The man said.

"What!!!!" The woman exclaimed.

"You know if we use that, the surrounding region will get affected and many people will die" The woman who first talked shouted in anger.

"Who cares I can call for them to release it if fifty percent of the leaders agree, we can't allow people that aren't human to control us," The man said. The leaders looked on as they gave it a thought, after minutes

"We agree," They all said. The woman's body was already shaking from anger.

"Do you realize that if not for these people we will probably be dead by now?" She asked while looking at them.

"So what?" The man said.

"Then I'm not in this meeting with you," She said as she walked towards the door.

"Stop" The man ordered, she stopped and turned around, she saw him pointing a gun at her. Her face turned pale

"Since you are not in agreement with us, then die," he said.

"You will pay for this," She said as she sighed and closed her eyes.

"Pa" A gunshot was heard. She did not feel anything.

"Is this how death is, no pain?" She thought.

"Wait" she opened her eyes and saw that she was alive. She saw someone who had wings in front of her. It was Mark, he had arrived earlier but did not go in so that he could hear what they were trying to say.

"You did well," He told her. The leaders who were there turned horrified immediately when they saw him. They only saw someone appear in front of the lady, they thought that it was the assistant who was trying to protect her but the bullet bounced off the person's back. That was when they had the time to look at the person and they also saw the other three.

"We're dead" Was the thought in their mind. They saw the man slowly turn back to them and their greatest fear was confirmed, it was Mark. The guy that singlehandedly devastated a battlefield of thousands in the primordial forest, was the man they

"Has he been hearing all we had been saying?" They all thought.

"Hmm, you humans are just too disgusting, you can do anything just to achieve your goal," Amelia said angrily.

"You are not even thinking about the people that will die or the economic impact it will have on those people because it will affect the ocean," Martins said while his body was shaking angrily. They all looked at Mark, though he was not saying anything, his eyes were unusually calm which gave them jitters.

"What should be the penalty for your offence, you decide what your punishment should be" He asked with an unusually calm voice.

"Let's just kill them," Amelia said with disgust in her tone.

"Please, we did not mean to. it was a slip of the tongue" They all tried to apologize.

"Since you know what you did was wrong then there is no going back, you have to face punishment" He answered. Their body was all shaking from fear.

"Throw them into the outlaw's dungeon, let them experience the treatment international-level outlaws experience for the rest of their lives, and don't let them see the sun again" He commanded. Shadows rose from his feet and caught all the people, they were all dragged again while following the assistant of the lady who was supporting him. After they had been taken out, Mark turned towards the lady, she knelt on the floor in fear.

"Don't worry, I don't eat" he said.

"Thank you for not killing them," The lady said.

"I wouldn't have killed them before even if they had done something worse, I'm still attached to humans," he said.

"What's your name" He asked her. "My name is Arteria, I'm the daughter of the queen of England," She said.

"You must hate me now" He asked.

"No, I don't hate you, even if you had killed them, they deserved that. You did not kill them, you only delivered them to the rightful citizen. If I want to hate anyone. It will be the citizen that I will hate" She said.

"Hmm," Mark sighed.

"You have a strong sense of justice," He said.

"I've made a decision, gather one hundred people you can trust here, I will have a meeting with you when the time is right," He told her. He walked out of the room without waiting for her reply
