It was peaceful.
Silent filled my dark room. The pleasant sight of sunset, its light that passes through my jalousie window, leaving glimmers of sparkle inside the room.
Ah... I've always loved my room
It took me a while to notice I was laying on my bed. I felt the soft silk of my blanket, moving my hands back-and-forth feeling the glossy texture. I dived in using my nose unto my bed, smelling the sunkissed sheets. I grabbed one of my pillows and embraced it, sniffing the very last bit of its scent.
The scent of Ryvine Wartz. The infamous violet flower that consists dozens of petals, and is oddly to be seen everywhere in Xarice. I used to pluck all of its petals and collecting them, they always smell so good. But, they are also used for poisoning. One wrong touch from it's stem and you'll die thirty seconds after.
It seems that I've just got the luck, surviving without getting myself poisoned.
The scent of the flower was strong enough to wake me up and finally stood, walking towards my book shelf at the side of my bed. I touched the woodenware and slowly gliding my fingers across the side of it, gathering all of the dust that clustered my fingertips. I haven't touched these books since I turned sixteen, I lost my eagerness to widen my vocabulary.
Knock, knock, knock
A sound bargains at the door.
"Mom?" I went straight up front.
Thud! Thud!
"Ow" My forehead suddenly hurts. Due to the pain, I let my eyes closed for a moment. My hands rubbing the sore part of my head, twirling around to finally ease the pain.
"Wake up" A soft voice of a woman echoed.
I felt my body heavy.
"Uhh, wake up... Reiteria?" Again.
I can hear you... My peaceful moment was destroyed.
I can hear people whispering, engines purring. I tried moving my head, feeling the double bump around my neck. A hand landed on my cheeks, the touch was soft and tender. I opened my eyes and saw a woman's face.
No.
Probably a face around my age. Brown hair, hazel eyes, a little freckles that spreads across her cheeks. She looks astounding, she looks like an angel. Looking around, I see other people. Wearing the same uniform as mine, all dusty and dirty.
"You're finally awake" The same woman replied to my hint of consciousness.
I stood up realizing that I was sleeping at her lap, her beloved lap. I flushed, wondering if she saw me drooling over her uniform. Using my hand, I hurriedly patted my face and wiping a drool of saliva if I had.
"You didn't drool sweeheart" She lets out a laugh.
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"That's fine" She placed her hand at the side of her seat, gesturing me to also sit beside her.
I sat down, following her lead. She seems friendly enough to gain my faith, by trusting her. She was wearing the same uniform as mine, except for the blazer. Her hair is like a wave of tides, all but brown. She smiles yet, she's a little down.
"Your forehead" She added, staring at my shining forehead.
I touched my forehead and felt the thick-gooey texture, the odor stinks of rust. I turned my hand back to see what it was, it was blood.
"I wouldn't touch that if I were you, you'll make it worse." A lavish voice of a guy corrected me.
"Atticus. Name's Atticus. Here's some extra gauze the fancy lady gave me."
He lets out a hand, lending me the gauze. I tried taking it but, the woman who saved me took it first.
"Thanks" She winced at the guy, and finally looks back at me.
"Come closer, lemme take care of that for you"
I obediently followed her instructions, and calmed my ass down for a bit.
"Adyvanna, you can call me that"
"Reiteria" My mouth curled as the vehicle bumped, causing Adyvanna's hands to accidentally press my wound. "Ady- ouch"
"Sorry!"
Come to think of it, where am I?
I looked around curious of my surrounding. I see a long line of students injured or dirty, sitting next to each other. A small roundy window was placed aside every student. Looking above, I see fancy metal and silver combining together, making the vehicle more of the exorbitant look.
Looking outside the window, I see a plain dessert. It was dark, strong wind occurs swirling the sand.
A dessert?
"Unimaginable, right?" Adyvanna asked a flat question.
This place is no fantasy, it is real. I am away from Xarice, away from the sluts. Where I thought it would be heaven, but it wasn't.
