Luxurious Food That I Can't Eat

Sunny, who was initially very ready to perform surgery on Grandma Martha, had to accept what his uncle said on his mother's orders.

"Okay, I think mom is right. I'm tired of humiliation all day long. It would be bad for Grandma if I insisted on leading the operation," Sunny took a deep breath and went back out to see Qira who was alone.

However, just as Sunny arrived in front of the Emergency Room, there were already several men and women who were probably the same age as his parents, and Sunny thought that they were the expert doctors that his Uncle Samuel had mentioned earlier.

"Good evening, Director!" Several people who looked professional greeted Sunny before one of them came forward to extend his hand to Sunny.

"Director, I am Jonathan, Head of the Hospital in charge here. As you know, the President Director of Sean asked me to organize the Garendra Health Center when the Director of this hospital was not in Indonesia. But since you are here, I and all the doctors here are waiting for your orders." the words of the temporary hospital head directly confirmed to everyone that Sunny was indeed the highest leader there.

"We also received orders from the President Director to handle the operations that you are currently prioritizing. Please remain calm and wait for us to finish everything, Director." Dr. Jonathan spoke again.

Sunny nodded but without a smile, "Yes, do your best. I'll wait," he said calmly.

The expert doctors immediately left there and Sunny went to Qira who couldn't believe it all.

"Why do you look at me like you look at the devil?"

Of course, Qira was shocked. Despite many confusing things today, including the respect of many people in the big hospital where they are now, Sunny's already handsome appearance looks a thousand times handsome now.

Even though what Sunny is currently wearing is just a plain medical worker's outfit without any patterns, Sunny's aura has changed a lot. The handsome construction worker turned into a handsome doctor overnight. Plus, every time he said that everyone recognized that he was the head of the hospital, all this convinced Qira that her brother was an unusual man.

"You're Brother Sunny, right? Am I dreaming? If it's true, please pinch me so that... Akh!" Qira screamed in pain because Sunny's pinch on her cheek immediately woke her up, even before she finished her sentence.

"You pinched me?"

"You asked, right?"

The short joke turned into a question from Qira, "Bro, so you are a rich man? Why didn't you tell me and grandma all this time? Aren't you too cruel and…"

[Stomach growling]

Instead of answering, Sunny smiled and rubbed Qira's hair because the sound of Qira's stomach could be heard so clearly.

"Save your questions for later, your stomach sounds are embarrassing. You probably haven't eaten since morning, right? Likewise, I also haven't had time to eat the lunch my grandmother gave me this morning. It's a shame because it must have gone stale and the wages I distributed this afternoon have already been used up to buy you a dress. Then what are we going to eat with?"

A true statement ending with a ridiculous question made Qira puff out her cheeks, "Do you think I'm stupid and have been fooled again by what you said? I will not spare you and make you bankrupt!"

"Hurry up and treat me to a meal. We still have to wait for grandma all night, right?" she continued, sneering at Sunny, but her annoyed face turned dimmer again, "But will grandma be okay? I'm afraid that grandma won't…"

"Shut your mouth and come with me to the cafeteria. Never say anything bad about grandma!" Sunny half grumbled at Qira and pulled her along to the magnificent hospital canteen.

Without many more questions, Qira just followed everything Sunny said. If people just obeyed her brother's words, who is she who is just an ordinary girl but goes against Sunny's words?

Arriving at the canteen, Sunny was served. If the food usually available at the hospital is just white rice, fried rice, fried chicken, fried noodles, meatballs with soup, vegetable soup, and other ordinary food, at the Garendra Health Center it is different.

The food on the menu in the hospital canteen is like that of a five-star hotel restaurant. Things are balanced when the patients who come there are also government officials, billionaires, and people whose wealth has no limits.

"Eat it all. This is a hospital facility for us as patient families. Even though I run out of money, here we won't be required to pay and you can eat as much as you like." Sunny could still joke and break Qira's fantasies when she looked at the dining table which was like food heaven.

"Nonsense! You still owe me an explanation," she replied irritably and started directing her hand to take the food she had been aiming for in the first place. It's a cut of beef sliced into grilled steaks.

"Do you know how to eat it?" Sunny asked mockingly.

"Just put it in your mouth, what's so difficult?" She replied nonchalantly and started slicing the meat on her plate.

Even though Qira was born poor and became a servant in a rich person's house, Qira is a smart child. Living in a rich person's house doesn't make Qira lazy about studying and paying attention to the many positive things that rich people often do, for example, etiquette at the dinner table and also their very polite way of eating.

One slice of meat that entered her mouth made Qira's tears flow along with nasal discharge without being ordered, and Sunny noticed that.

"Why are you crying? Is your steak too spicy because you have too much black pepper?"

Qira shook her head, "No, not that. Even though it's spicy and will make my stomach hurt, I won't spit it out of my mouth. All my life, until before this moment. I never thought I would taste what it tastes like. I think that until I die, I will only be full of smelling the aroma of the restaurant that I pass every day while looking at the picture of that steak on the banner in front of the restaurant."

"Thank you, bro. I am so happy that even if I have to die from a stomach ache, I will be willing."

Sunny's eyes reddened, Qira's sad words seemed to slap him to pay for a moment from the past when he was little.

'Sunny, finish your food. Don't pick food, it's not good, son!'

'Mom, come on... Why do I always have to eat food I don't like? I have the right to throw away food I don't want to eat. Why just because of food, every day I have to hear your scolding?'

'If you don't throw away your food, I won't reprimand you, darling. If you don't like it, tell the waiter beforehand not to put food you don't want to eat and replace it according to your wishes. Don't just sit there and mess up the food and then throw it away. That's a bad attitude,'

'At least respect the person who cooks for you, or think about other people who are not as lucky as you and who can choose the food you want. There are many children out there who only swallow soft rice mixed with salt or a lot of cooking oil without side dishes because that is a necessity for them to stay alive.'
