Ridle, a university student, was walking leisurely in the campus grounds when a bolt of lightning literally came out of the blue and struck him, rendering him completely obliterated to ashes in a split second. As fate would have it, before he died, he had been holding his smartphone in his pocket, and miraculously, it survived the calamity.



Just as the ashes of his body fluttered in the wind, his smartphone fell with a clatter to the ground, revealing the screen that showed...a web novel.

Ridle found himself trapped in his favourite novel, possessing the body of a young man by the name of Daniel, a minor character, who was destined to be cannon fodder for the excessively overpowered protagonist.



How will he circumvent his dire circumstances? Will he be able to pluck that darned death flag and plant it on the infuriating protagonist's head instead?
