I woke the next morning feeling more alive than I’d ever felt before in my life. I stretched my sleepy body out as big as I could. I felt sore all over my body, not just from the mind-blowing life-altering sex but because I’d spent more than a few days unconscious. 


I groaned loudly as I stretched and accidentally smacked Wren in the face. He snapped awake.


“Amaya,” he mumbled angrily, half awake.

He scrunched up his face as I kissed him causing me to laugh gently. “Please, go back to sleep,” he muttered as he rolled away from me. “It’s not morning time yet.” 


I sighed as I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head against his back. “Wren, I’ve slept for long enough. Go back to sleep, I’ll find breakfast.” I kissed his shoulder and began to roll away from him and out of bed.
