Mia hears a knock on her office door. She looks up from her paperwork, relieved for the break.
“Come in!” she calls, moving her documents to the side.
Donovan fills the doorframe, smiling sheepishly at her. “Sorry, Mia. Is this a good time?”
“It’s perfect, actually. Please, come in.” Mia smiles.
She and Donovan have been speaking on a daily basis, he even changed the name of their personal work chatroom to “mango supremacists” after a particularly heated discussion between them and Louise over their favorite fruits. He’s funny and approachable in a way that Mia really appreciates from her coworkers, especially after her interactions with the other maids in the mansion.
“Awesome. I wanted to come check in on that complaint we had this morning. I know it’s your first one, so I thought you might need some advice.” Donovan moves to sit in the chair opposite Mia’s, folding his hands in his lap.
