3. Surprised

Adrian saw Shaga leaning in a narrow alley. Adrian was across the street watching Shaga, who had just finished work, It was already half past ten in the evening, but Shaga never went home and just stood quietly looking at the wall in front of him.

Shaga is indeed not someone who talks much, but he was also not so quiet before and would respond to Adrian with his anger. This time, even Shaga didn't respond at all, and Adrian had guessed that this must be related to an Alpha who had rejected him.

Adrian never knew who it was, but he felt very jealous of any Alpha who had bravely rejected Shaga. Adrian here even expects Shaga to have the same feelings for him, or at least Adrian hopes that Shaga sees it. To realize that he doesn't just exist as a bully as he has always been, Adrian wants Shaga's attention to be on him so that Adrian can show that he is truly sincere with this intense feeling every day.

A car stopped right in front of the alley and it should have been that the car was not there to block Adrian's view.

However, when Adrian's eyes narrowed and when he accidentally observed the car, he realized that the car belonged to his brother. What did Garvin come here for?

Adrian couldn't wait and he couldn't see Shaga. So, Adrian came there to at least know what his brother was doing here as well as to take Shaga home.

"I never care about your affairs again." Shaga's voice came into Adrian's hearing and he temporarily did not appear first to hear what Shaga was saying.

Adrian held his pheromone out to know, he peeked and was surprised that Shaga was now talking to Garvin.

"Where have you been for this one week?" Garvin asked, which immediately made Adrian's brow wrinkle, since when did this brother care about others?

"It's none of your business. Go!" Shaga doesn't seem to like Garvin's presence and so does Adrian unhappy if Garvin tries to mess with Shaga.

"Where to work?" Garvin asked again.

"Who are you until I have to tell you?" Shaga looks very angry at Garvin's presence and that anger is the same as Adrian now feels.

"Why are you so stubborn?"

There was a grunt from Shaga over there. "You guys are the same."

When Shaga turned around, Adrian's eyes widened as Garvin suddenly restrained Shaga by holding his arm. "Is this because I rejected you?"

Adrian was struggling to get that new fact, he couldn't believe what he had just seen and also heard just now. He never thought that Shaga was related to this kind of interconnectedness with Garvin behind him, Adrian thought he knew all things related to Shaga, but it turned out that he was wrong. He didn't know anything.

Shaga snorted. "Don't be so confident."

"Where were you before?" Garvin again asked Shaga, and Adrian suddenly wanted to go there very much to push his brother away from Shaga.

"Where I am, it's none of your business," Shaga said almost growling. He shook Garvin's hand away and it made Adrian momentarily relieved. "Get out of my way."

When Shaga was about to walk into the building behind them, Adrian heard Garvin make a sound again. "Don't I have to know what you are doing?"

There was a bitter laugh that Adrian would never want to hear from Shaga again. "It's none of your business, haven't you always been someone who doesn't care? We've never had any relationship, I've just become a stupid teenager to you. I don't want to see you again."

The sound of slamming the door ended their conversation. Garvin was strangely still unaware of Adrian's whereabouts when his brother left at high speed. Adrian realized that his chances began to slowly decrease.

Adrian ran through the night, his dark shadow highlighted by the moonlight penetrating through the cracks in the trees and bushes. The black fur wrapped around his skin fluttered in his brisk steps, blending into the darkness of the forest. His heart was pounding violently, not only because of the blood flow that spurred into the werewolf body that ruled him but also because of the jealousy that permeated his mind.

What he saw just now was so very shocking to Adrian. It was never in his own shadow that he would see Garvin, who was his brother, going with Shaga in such a way behind his back. It was Adrian who had known Shaga first, and Garvin even knew what Adrian felt about Shaga.

It hurts.

Adrian ran faster and faster, the night wind piercing his skin seemed to be a physical reminder of the burning pain inside his chest. Each of his steps hit the ground with a force that depicted the inner battle he was experiencing. The shadows of the trees and bushes passing by so quickly almost seemed to reflect the emotional turmoil that overtook him.

The dark and silent forest became a silent witness of Adrian's struggle in the face of the waves of emotions that hit. All the fond memories of his previous life that he shared with Shaga felt like he was drifting away in a wave of feelings he couldn't control.

Adrian felt tired, not only physically but also mentally. He slowed down his run, letting his body adjust to a calmer breathing rhythm. He stopped under a dense clump of trees, letting himself sit on the cold ground. His gaze was blank in the distance, pondering the meaning of everything that happened.

Slowly, the jealousy began to dim. Although the feeling is still there, Adrian begins to realize that he can't control Shaga's heart or his brother's. Whatever happens between them, Adrian must choose how he will respond. Will he let negative emotions get the better of him, or will he try to understand and suppress these feelings?

Slowly, he got up from his seat and continued his steps through the dark forest, at least he needed more fresh air and also the busyness that Adrian had forgotten about what he had seen recently.
