47. The Big Moment

Adrian didn't get much sleep in the nights leading up to his wedding day. A mix of excitement and other emotions raced through his mind, leaving him restless. The three nights he spent in Garvin's guest room felt suffocating.

Occasionally, he would glance towards the door, hoping that Shaga might appear, but that was impossible. Adrian didn't understand the rule that forbade him from meeting Shaga before the wedding. He had no phone to convey his longing to his. Wasn't this too cruel?

Adrian sat in a chair in one of the wedding venue's rooms, then stood up to pace back and forth, checking his white tuxedo buttons several times, glancing at his shoelaces, and adjusting the flowers in his pocket repeatedly.

The sound of the door opening startled Adrian. His brother walked in and began to scrutinize him. Garvin asked, "What's wrong?"

Adrian repositioned his boutonniere and replied, "Everything's fine, nothing's wrong. How are the preparations going?"
